McWilliams is a well-known community volunteer and has joined the fight against cancer by representing the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She has also represented KillCancer and was honorary chair for the Mamma Jamma Ride. Besides her participation in fundraisers, Andrea McWilliams is a national political commentator. The Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce has referred to her as a counselor to the powerful and political. Andrea McWilliams exceeded $100 million in incentives to make Texas the first in the world to have the most advanced clean coal power plant that captures carbon.
In 2012, Andrea McWilliams was given the award of “Austin Under 40.” She also recently received the Austin Fashion Week ‘Style Setter” award, that honors her dedication to local non-profit organizations. She previously co-chaired the Marathon Kids gala, which promotes healthy resources for children. McWilliams has truly made a difference by serving as a board member for several non-profit organizations that include Texas Lyceum, Ballet Austin, Arthouse, HeartGift, the Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital and Austin Children in Crisis.
In addition to her many achievements, Andrea McWilliams currently serves on the PAC Board of Ryan, which is an award-winning global tax services firm. She currently resides in Old Enfield with her husband and three children.
